I ride the Moots YBB (Y be beat?) gravel bike on ENVE AR 3.4s with Rene Herse Extra Light 35mm slicks. Of course it doesn't accelerate like my Moots RSL road bike with 28mm Conti 5000s, but I can get to my average speed with just a few more watts and lots more comfort on the YBB. I won't ride my gravel bike off-road with these tires, but frankly, I won't ride off road at all anymore, having quit MTB. Unless you're riding the smoothest gravel, get a mountain bike for trails. Gravel is for road! YBB?

Sorry but my Touring bike do this already for years, no need to spend the price of two good bikes only for gain the problem of build and change two wheel sets.
Thank you pronouncing it right. Wilier.. the W sounds like a V. The W is an abbreviation for Viva; Wilier is an abbreviation for Viva L'Italia Liberata E Redanta. At least, according to wikipedia lol. I first heard it pronounced with the V from some of the tech explanation videos on their official channel then looked it up to learn more about the company. So many people say Willy'er. INCLUDING the official distributors shop where I purchased mine lmao. Doesnt really matter but as someone with a commonly mispronounced last name, its just nice to see the attention to detail, lol.
Got a Jareen, with a 2×10. Thinking on putting on some road wheels/tires since Ive been mainly riding on a paved trail, but havent talked myself into it yet. If anyone's got any thoughts on that let me know.
It's really the tires that make the bike(proper clearance of course) and given prevalence of tubeless and a mess associated with swapping tires, a dedicated wheelset is a great option. I am currently on vittoria terreno zero 35 for gravel and Continental GP5000 32 for road.
But the Willier bikes look every so tempting as does the available Campy Ekar 13 speed.
Isn't this the same thing as what LOOK did with their 765 Optimum+?

It looks like the hope lotus has enough clearance for snow tires so this should come as no surprise.
Why cant you just have a separate set of wheels for the same bike? Road bikes can do absolutely fine with a 1x groupset, or gravel with a 2x. The geometry is not that different.
I use a merida Scultura 500 Road bike with 650b wheels and 35 mm Continental Terra Speed for gravel.
I see lot of value in this bike however hopefully this won't cost me small car
Rondo HVRT with twin tip fork for variable geometry accepts both 700 wheels up to 30mm and 650b up to 47mm.

I bought an Orro terra c with Campag Ekar 1×13. Haven't touched my road bikes since. It's revolutionised winter riding. Access almost anything on it then smash it home on the road from wherever. Wish I'd got off the tarmac years back frankly.

9300 Euros with Ultegra Di2! And maybe you'd still need to buy a second set of wheels.. Better to just buy two bikes, one gravel one road. You would still get two really good bikes, both with electronic groupsets. Pick which one you want to ride that day, no changing wheels. And of course, of course, you could have different handlebars on each bike. In other words, this bike is probably best for pro gravel racers.

In the end, these are 2 bikes sharing the same frame. Nice performance from Willier, but no real benefit for the riders. 2 bikes would even maybe cost less in the end!
The industry really is all over the show – first it was 'you need a different bike for each type of terrain', now it's 'hey you CAN do it all with 1 bike'. Some people can do it all on a hybrid, some can't do it all as they're after the highest spec for each – depends on the rider and the ambitions. It's all wishy-washy and speculative, and as always, this bike will appeal to someone who wants the latest bike.
Love Wilier.. i would go for the road Rave.. only curios what the price is compared to the zero and filante

As others have said, a cyclo-cross / gravel bike set-up works fine on the road – just change the wheels. A 46/36 chainset works well in both settings. Why bother going with changing bars etc? Not necessary.
